Artist Portfolio Websites on Squarespace

As well as being a digital design and general coding website guru, I also love getting messy and hands-on with painting. I love colour and composition and as such one of my favourite clients to work with are artists, photographers and general creative types. Working on these types of websites inspires me with my own artwork.

In the past I have designed custom coded artist portfolio websites and gallery websites like this one for artist Nat Morley:

Why do I recommend Squarespace for Artists?

The Squarespace platform is a great affordable platform to manage your artist portfolio on as it:

  1. has a built-in Portfolio functionality in the latest 7.1

  2. you can easily sell products and art directly through the website

  3. you can get a headstart and if you already sell your artwork on Etsy you can import your products to your Squarespace store

  4. you can even sell your design services through it too

  5. there is a blog feature so you can keep your artwork fans in the loop with your latest news & projects

  6. there is an inbuilt email marketing system that you can opt into using so that all your marketing emails naturally match your website’s look & style seamlessly

  7. and finally, the minimal modern look and feel of the Squarespace template designs’ perfectly suit as a blank canvas for promoting artwork, designs and photography services.

You can make your own digital online studio gallery with Squarespace.

Here are some Squarespace artist website examples:

In the near future, I am planning and designing my own personal Squarespace website to showcase my paintings and illustrations too. I will post up a link to it when it is ready.
